Looks like you guys had a great time! Loved the video, and you inspired me to dust off some old Black Sabbath I hadn't listened to in ages.

I was wondering about the tandem, never having ridden one ... Can you switch gears independently, or are both riders always in the same gear? Does the lead rider choose the gear for both riders, or does the back rider have a second set of gears to choose from?

Cheers!

Hey Donald! I have been reading about your adventures in Greece- Very interesting-

On a tandem, the Captain, or the big guy in the front, makes all the decisions. The Stoker, that's me, is just the engine. I don't have any brakes or gears or anything. I have to pedal hard or we don't go anywhere because it's such a heavy bike. I constantly get people asking if I'm working- let me tell you, if I wasn't working we would be getting nowhere fast.

That being said, I don't mind giving up control and I enjoy being able to look around all the time. Victor is very strong, so between the two of us, we fly on that bike. People sometimes ask if we have and engine!

Did you bring your bike to Greece?
